Chocolate Acorns

I saw this posted yesterday on Facebook and knew right away I wanted to jump on the band wagon and make them. One day a week I watch my friend's two children who are 3 1/2 and 1 1/2 (along with my 3 1/2 year-old). Today was a rainy fall day and I thought this was the perfect activity for them. We had an absolute blast making them!

The recipe I followed came from Six in the Suburbs. They did mention a great idea...If there are peanut allergies in your house you could substitute a mini-Ritz cracker for the Nutter Butter.

Chocolate Acorns

Bite-size Nutter Butter Cookies
Hershey's Kisses
Mini-Chocolate Chips

Melt 1/2 a bag of chocolate chips in microwave at 20 second intervals, stirring each time. Dip flat end of kiss into melted chocolate and top with Nutter Butter Cookie. Dip the flat end of a chocolate chip into melted chocolate and place on top of Nutter Butter.

That's it, easy peasy!  Perfect for little kids to help with!
