Ranch Dressing Mix

Ranch Dressing is another mix that I seem to buy a lot. I love it as a dip for veggies and I also have a couple of recipes that call for it. I was surprised that I had all ingrediants on hand. I like to keep dry buttermilk on hand because I don't use a lot of buttermilk so when a recipe calls for it I can just reconstitute it.

1/2 Cup dry buttermilk
1 Tbsp dried parsley
1 tsp dill
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp onion flakes
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp ground pepper

Combine all ingrediants in blender or food processor and process until smooth.
1 Tbsp = 1 packet of Ranch

For salad dressing: Mix 1 Tbsp mix with 1/2 cup mayo and 1/2 cup of sour cream. Add milk to desiered consistency.

Where do you find dry buttermilk in the store?

I find it in the baking asile at our local Wal-mart. Also a lot of bulk food stores carry it and it is usually much cheaper.

Cool, thanks. If your Walmart has it, I'm sure ours will too. Like you I need it for recipes, buy a container and end up throwing the rest out.
