Home Made Ice Cream WITHOUT a Machine!

Yep, you read that correctly!! I've been looking for a recipe like this for a long time and Kevin & Amanda came through again!  No ice cream maker, no rock salt...that's what I'm talkin' about!! With the exception of the toppings you choose to use, there are only two ingrediants in this...how sweet is that? Clicking on the link above will find a photo tutorial along with gorgeous pictures and great flavor suggestions like Cinnamon Bun and Krispy Kreme. The flavor possibilities are endless!

2 cups heavy cream
1  (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

In a large bowl whip the cream until stiff peaks form. In a seperate bowl mix toppings with sweetned condensed milk then fold in the whipped cream. Pour into a 2 quart container. Cover and freeze for 6 hours or until firm.

Cinnamon Bun Ice Cream

2 cups heavy crean
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
3 Tbsp butter, melted
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

In a large bowl mix cream until stiff peaks form. In another bowl combine sweetened condensed milk, butter, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix well then fold in the whipped cream. Pour into a 2 quart container and cover and freeze for 6 hours until firm.

After reading all 147 of the reviews on this (yes, I was that intrigued!)....here are some of the suggested flavors I found:

mint chocolate chip- mini chocolate chips, peppermint extract and green food coloring

cherry cheesecake-  melted butter, cherry pie filling, grahm cracker crumbs, cream cheese chunks ( I would freeze small chunks of the cream cheese then mix it in)

peanut butter & jelly- peanut butter and jelly flavor of your choice (again I'd freeze small bits of peanut butter then mix it in)

Check out the Eagle Brand wesbiste for lots of possibilites (too many them all!) Some of flavors listed are: vanilla, butter pecan (my personal favorite), Carmel apple, as I said at the beginning of this...the possibilities are endless! I'd love to know what flavors you try!

OMG I can't wait to try this! We have an ice cream/sorbet maker and have never used it b/c it's such a pain! Oh, and I am so re-blogging this! Plus, thanks for a new recipe source!
